Disney is making a big play for 2027, staking out eleven new release dates across that year, joining the two dates that they have already staked out for the Marvel film Avengers: Secret Wars on May 27 and an untitled Star Wars release on December 17.
Added onto the 2027 calendar are two new untitled Marvel films on July 23 and November 5, an untitled Pixar project on June 18 and an untitled Disney Animation feature on November 24, 2027. The additional 2027 release dates are February 12, March 5, April 2, May 28, August 6, September 17 and October 8.
Disney also removed from their schedule an untitled Marvel film slated for release on July 24, 2026. It is not known if the removal was so Marvel could have just one film between Avengers: Doomsday‘s release date of May 1, 2026 date and Avengers: Secret Wars‘s May 7, 2027 release date. It is possible that Marvel could be looking to have Sony slot in a fourth Spider-Man film into that position, but it would be Sony who would have to announce that release date.
In addition to the dates staked out in 2027 by Disney, the studio also tweaked some dates on its 2025 and 2026 schedules, removing an unnamed project from its previously scheduled March 7, 2025 spot. The studio also moved two different projects forward by one week each to August 7 and September 11 respectively.
