Roz is returning.
Peri Gilpin, who played radio producer Roz Doyle on the long-running hit sitcom Frasier, is set to return for a guest spot on the show’s upcoming revival for Paramount Plus.
Frasier, a spinoff from the equally classic sitcom Cheers, starred Kelsey Grammer as the titular Doctor Frasier Crane, who moves to Seattle to help take care of his ailing father while hosting a call-in radio show, working alongside Gilpin’s Roz. The series ran for eleven seasons on NBC, winning a total of thirty-seven Primetime Emmy Awards, a record at the time for a scripted series.
Paramount+’s revival of the series sees Grammer’s psychiatrist returning to Boston to live with his now-adult son Freddy, to be played by Jack Cutmore-Scott.
Gilpin is not the only Frasier alum to come back for the series revival. Bebe Neuwirth is also returning as her character of Lilith Sternin, Frasier’s ex-wife and mother of their son Freddy. Neuwirth has played the character since Cheers‘s fourth season in 1986.
The Frasier revival is set to air on Paramount+ later this year.
