Class is out permanently for AP Bio. Peacock, the streaming service which rescued the critically lauded comedy series after it was cancelled by NBC in 2019 has lowered the boom themselves on the series.
Show creator Mike O’Brien broke the news on Twitter earlier today.
I’m sad to announce that AP Bio will not be renewed for a 5th season. But mostly I’m feeling grateful right now. To all the fans who watched the show and fought for it to come back after the cancellation! And to Peacock & UTV for giving us two more seasons after that! (all 42 eps

AP Bio debuted on NBC in February 2018, as a midseason replacement. The network brought it back for a second season more on the strength of its critical reviews than its ratings. The network cancelled the series in 2019, though producers Universal Television were able to move the series over to the Peacock streaming service where it was able to live for another two seasons.
AP Bio stared It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘s Glenn Howerton as a disgraced Harvard philosophy professor now teaching an advanced placement biology class in an Ohio high school. He spends most of his class time using his students to help develop schemes to get his old job back. Patton Oswalt stars as the school’s harried principal and former Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell has broken out with her role of the incredibly ditzy office secretary Helen.
