It is going to stay weird in some corners of the DC Universe for a while longer as HBO Max has renewed Doom Patrol for a fourth season. The announcement came as part of the DC FanDome online event.
Based on the characters from several different versions of the comic book, Doom Patrol centers on a group of reluctant, misfit heroes who reluctantly find themselves standing up against some of the more weird and bizarre menaces to the DC Comics Universe.
The series stars Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder aka the Chief, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, April Bowlby as Rita Farr aka Elastigirl, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor aka Negative Man, Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele aka Robotman and Joivan Wade as Victor Stone, aka Cyborg.
Doom Patrol started as one of a number of original series on the DC Comics-centric DC Universe streaming app that moved over toe HBO Max when the service was restructured to deliver just digital comics.
