Poker Face, the mystery series writer/director Rian Johnson and actress Natasha Lyonne brought to the Peacock streaming service, has found its showrunner. Well, showrunners, actually.
Variety is reporting that Nora and Lilla Zuckerman have been hired onto the show to serve as co-showrunners.
Plot details for the series have been kept shrouded in secrecy ever since Peacock order a ten-episode season the show this past March. In addition to creating the series, Johnson is also reportedly going set to direct. Both and he Lyonne will also serve as executive producers.
The Zuckerman’s previous credits include stints on Fringe, Agents Of SHIELD and Prodigal Son.
It is not known when production on Poker Face will start, though if I had to guess, it would probably be later this year. Johnson is currently close to finishing up principal photography on the first of the two Knives Out sequels he is making for Netflix. Depending on the schedule for those two films, he could be possibly sandwiching the production of Poker Face in between. If so, I expect that we will start hearing casting news for the series sooner rather than later.
