Oscar Isaac In Talks For Marvel/Disney+’s MOON KNIGHT

Oscar Isaac may be heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Inside Llewyn Davis actor is reportedly in talks to star in the Marvel Studio’s Moon Knight series being prepared for Disney+.

Isaac would be playing mercenary, Marc Spector who is left for dead in an Egyptian desert but revived by the god Khonshu to serve as his agent on Earth. In addition to his training as a Marine, he also has supernaturally enhanced strength, endurance and reflexes. Unfortunately, he also has a fragile psyche and has developed multiple personalities from the guilt he harbors over people he killed while a mercenary.

Jeremy Slater, who oversaw Netflix’s comic book adaptation Umbrella Academy, will pull similar duties on this show.

Although the series will stream on Disney+, like all of Marvel’s Disney+ series, it will still be set in the company’s greater interconnected Cinematic Universe of superhero films. Marvel is currently in various stages of development and production on an initial group of four series for Disney+ – WandaVision, Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye.

This casting completes the hiring of the leads for the three series that constitute the second wave of Marvel’s Disney+ series. Previously, Tatiana Maslany has been cast to lead She-Hulk while newcomer Iman Vellani has been set to star in Ms. Marvel.
