The sequel for last year’s Shazam! now has an official title – Shazam: Fury Of The Gods.
The reveal came during the Shazam! zoom call, excuse me, Shazoom Call, was lead by the film’s star Zach Levi, who spent much of the run time complaining about not being able to talk about anything about the film. It was costar Faithe Herman who made the actual reveal. Also part of the panel were stars Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Meagan Good, and Adam Brody and director David F. Sandberg. Sandberg took to twitter right after the panel to reiterate the title.
We have a title! #Shazam! Fury of the Gods

New Line had put the sequel into active development last April after the first film opened with a $53 million weekend, a box office haul that far exceeded prognosticators’ estimates for a $40 million weekend, ordering a new screenplay from writer Henry Gayden.
And while no actual plot details were revealed in the panel, we know from the first Shazam!‘s mid-credit scene that the main bad guy will most likely be the evil alien worm Mr. Mind. That credit scene we saw him introducing himself to the freshly incarcerated Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong). For more on Mr. Mind and his history in Shazam lore, hop over this rundown we did on him when he made his brief appearance in Shazam! last year.
Shazam!: Fury Of The Gods will be in theaters on November 4, 2022.
