Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Gets New Writer

Everyone say “Hello there” to the new writer of Disney+’s upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi streaming series.

Joby Harold will be taking the storytelling reins of the series, following the departure of Hossein Amini in January.

This news comes via the Hollywood Reporter which states that Disney and Lucasfilm felt that Amini’s proposed storyline of Obi-Wan Kenobi hiding in the deserts of the planet Tattoine and watching over a young Luke Skywalker may have been treading a bit too close to the story currently unfolding in Disney+’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

Harold is the co-writer on the upcoming Zack Snyder Netflix zombie film Army Of The Dead as well as executive producing John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and producing King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Trumbo.
