A pair of cast updates for season two of Disney+’s The Mandalorian.
Actor and comic Bill Burr will be returning to reprise his season one role of Mayfield while Terminator and Aliens star Michael Biehn has joined the cast of the Star Wars television spinoff.
Burr first appeared on The Mandalorian in the episode “The Prisoner,” as a former Imperial sharpshooter-turned-mercinary who teams with the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) for a job but then double-crossed him.
According to Deadline, Biehn will be playing another bounty hunter from the Mandalorian’s past.
As we start to get closer to the show’s second season October launch, we will most likely be hearing more casting news. Last week came a report that Rosario Dawson will be appearing on the show as Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi padawan who studied under Anakin Skywalker and appeared in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels. The return of season one cast members Gina Carano and Carl Weathers has already been confirmed.
