Netflix renews GLOW For Fourth And Final Season

There’s one final round remaining for the Netflix women’s wrestling comedy Glow.

The streaming service announced today that it is picking up the Betty Gilpin-Allison Brie led comedy for a fourth and final season.

The Netflix renewal comes as a bit of a welcome surprise given that the streaming service, which very zealously guards its viewership numbers, has seemed loath to renew most of its original series beyond a second or third season. The renewal also does come a bit quicker than when the show got it’s third season renewal.

The series’s debut season earned it ten Emmy nominations, winning two. This weekend the show is vying in just one Emmy nominated category this year, Betty Gilpin in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy category.

There is no word as to when the fourth season will debut on Netflix, though if it follows the same pattern as previous seasons, fans should expect it sometime late next summer.
