NBC has cancelled class for AP Bio, opting not to renew the sophomore comedy for a third season.
Series creator Mike O’Brien broke the news on twitter this evening –

loving the work, so this is very hard. We have 4 left to air and they're 4 of my favorites. Plus 22 others are on Hulu (for now) and https://t.co/wUeZQNY5WZ. Please check them out and tell a friend about the show and tell the people who worked on it that they did a good job!

The series stars It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia alum Glenn Howerton as Harvard professor Jack Griffin, who is forced to retreat to his hometown of Toledo, Ohio following a scandal and who is hired to teach advanced placement biology at a local high school. But rather than stick to the curriculum, he decides to use his smart, if somewhat oddball, students to help him plot elaborate revenge schemes to get himself back into Harvard.
The show was really hitting its stride in the current season, stretching its concept and more fully developing its large cast of Jack’s students.
The show also starred Patton Oswalt, Lyric Lewis, Mary Sohn, Jean Villepique, Tom Bennett, Paula Pell, Charlie McCrackin, Jacob McCarthy, Aparna Brielle, Nick Peine, Allisyn Ashley Arm, Eddie Leavy, Jacob Houston, Sari Arambulo, Tucker Albrizzi and Spence Moore II.
