Paul Giamatti has joined the cast of the upcoming assassination thriller Gunpowder Milkshake, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film is being headlined by Karen Gillan (Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy films) and Lena Headey (Game Of Thrones) as a mother-daughter assassin team. No other plot details are known.
Giamatti is so far the first name male actor to join the project. There are no details about his character outside of the fact that, according to the Reporter, “he is a person to whom all others are connected.”
Angela Bassett also co-stars.
The film is the brainchild of Israeli co-writer/directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, who had a recent international hit with the film Big Bad Wolves. Production is set to begin June 3 in Berlin.
