The Title For The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Is –

Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The reveal came from Peter Parker himself, franchise star Tom Holland, in an Instagram post this morning. (NOTE – This has a spoiler for Avengers: Infinity War, but really, you had to have seen it by now, right?)

Sorry for no announcements, but I love you guys ♥️

Oh that imp Tom Holland! He just can’t keep from accidentally letting a spoiler out, can he?

Seriously, though at this point, I think it is safe to say that Holland and everyone else is leaning into the whole “Tom Holland can’t keep a secret” thing. This certainly feels staged and scripts generally don’t have cover pages like that. It’s a fun way to make the announcement but I hope that Marvel and Sony doesn’t overplay the bit because I can see it getting real tired really fast.

The title does line up with what Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige indicated in April that parts of this new film will take place “in other parts of the globe” rather than just the traditional New York City setting for a Spider-Man story. Production is set to begin next month in London, so I would not be surprised to see Spidey swinging by Big Ben when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits screens on July 5, 2019.
