Sony’s Spider-Man Animated Feature Gets A Title And A Trailer

Everybody has been so focused on how Sony’s collaboration with Marvel Studios has produced a truly great live action Spider-man with actor Tom Holland’s appearances in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, it is understandable that some may have forgotten that the studio is also prepping an animated Spider-Man for release next year. Up until now, the project was only known as Untitled Animated Spider-Man Film, but Sony has announced an actual title as well as released the first trailer for the film.

Going forward, we will now all be referring to the film as Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse.

One thing that has been known for a while is that the film would focus on Miles Morales, with Shameik Moore providing his voice. But from the looks of the trailer below, there may be more than one Spider-man in the film.

Joining Moore in the voice cast are Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry and Liev Schrieber. Chris Miller and Phil Lord both wrote and produced with Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey directing.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse opens December 14th, 2018.
