If you were at all worried about the possibility that Patty Jenkins wouldn’t return to direct Wonder Woman 2 after working on the script for it with Geoff Johns. well, you can rest easy.
Variety exclusively reports that Jenkins will reunite with Gal Gadot for the sequel. She will be making a rumored $8 million for writing, directing and producing the film plus a percentage of the profits, which makes her one of the highest paid female directors of all time.
Before we slap Warner Brothers on the back for their blow against sexism, keep in mind they paid Christopher Nolan $20 million for doing the same duties on the films he made for them. Of course, Nolan had a bigger body of work when he signed that contract, but the disparity is glaring.
Wonder Woman 2 is set to hit theaters on December 13, 2019.
