Next CLOVERFIELD Movie Pushed Back To 2018

Paramount has pushed back the release of the untitled third film in their Cloverfield franchise to early next year.

Variety is reporting that the movie will relocate from October 27, 2017 to February 2, 2018. The film was originally scheduled to be released over this past Valentine’s Day weekend.

The film started life under the title The God Particle and centers on a group of scientists on an orbital space station who discover a secret “that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, all while desperately trying to fight for their survival.” How this will sync up with what we have seen in the previous two Cloverfield films – 2008’s Cloverfield and last year’s 10 Cloverfield Lane – remains to be seen. For that matter, it remains to be seen how definitively the two previous films connect.

The Untitled Third Cloverfield Film stars David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl, and Chris O’Dowd, with Julius Onah directing.
