STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN Returning To Theaters September 10

The best Star Trek film – Yeah, we’re not even going to entertain any argument you would care to make to the contrary – Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan is getting a theatrical re-release. The Nicholas Meyer-directed sequel will be screening starting September at AMC Theaters to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Wrath Of Khan‘s initial release.

According to AMC’s website, the running time for the film is 130 minutes, meaning that this will be the director’s cut of the film that was released initially on blu-ray in June 2016. The original ran seventeen minutes shorter at 113 minutes. The director’s cut added a number of small character moments back into the film and revealing that one of the Academy cadets is Commander Scott’s nephew.
