After talking about it for years, and offering a BIG tease about it earlier this year in the credits scene to his latest film Split, writer/director M Night Shyamalan has officially announced his next project to be a sequel to his film Unbreakable to be called Glass.
Well let his Twitter feed do the talking.
It’s taken 17 years but I can finally answer the #1 question I get, “Are you making a f#&@ing sequel to Unbreakable or what?”

My new film is the sequel to #Unbreakable AND #Split. It was always my dream to have both films collide in this third film.

Universal Pictures will release #Glass on January 18, 2019 all over the world. How’s that for not keeping a secret!

Well, I don’t know about you but I am incredibly stoked right now. And am grateful that Shyamalan has forgone his usual secrecy to make this announcement.
I enjoyed Unbreakable so this sequel may bring me back to the Cinema.
At the risk of spoilers, you might want to check out his latest film SPLIT.
Someone already spoiled the ending of Split.
To me, “what happens” isn’t the story. The story is how and why it happens.
