Super Bowl Trailer: LIFE

Later this year we’ll be getting the last installment in the Alien franchise. The first film of that franchise pretty much set to standard for melding science-fiction and horror, and this spot for the upcoming Life feels more indebted to that original Alien film than that franchise’s most recent installment, 2012’s Prometheus. Will Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, and Rebecca Ferguson fare better than the original Alien‘s cast?

Here’s the the studio’s official synopsis –

Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

Life opens in theaters on March 24.
