New KONG: SKULL ISLAND Trailer Proves That Monsters Are Real

Kong Skull Island

Last summer’s first trailer for Kong: Skull Island gave us just a glimpse of the titular giant ape. Warner Brothers has just released a new trailer for the film which gives us a much better look at the king of the island as well as some of its other monstrous denizens. If 2014’s Godzilla didn’t contain enough giant monsters fighting each other, this one looks like it mat be delivering on that quotient for you. And that’s a good thing as this iteration of Kong will be crossing over with that version of Godzilla in 2020’s Kong Vs Godzilla.

The studio has not released a full plot synopsis yet, bet has given out the shorter log line below. I dare say that the trailer maybe hints at more story than this brief description does.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Kong: Skull Island” reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (“The Kings of Summer”).

In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific – as beautiful as it is treacherous – unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell, and Eugene Cordero.

Kong: Skull Island hits theaters on March 10, 2017.
