Margot Robbie has not been carving herself a high profile swath through Hollywood as an actress in the few years since her breakout role in The Wolf Of Wall Street, she has also been making a name for herself as a producer. The actress is signing a first-look deal with Warner Brothers to develop and produce feature films through her LuckyChap Entertainment production company.
Warners is the studio behind this summer’s Suicide Squad, the comic book adaption in which Robbie appeared as fan favorite Harley Quinn. Even before the film’s release, she was already working with the studio on spinning the character off to her own solo film. Robbie and Warners are also currently collaborating on developing an adaptation of Dean N. Jensen’s Queen Of The Air to which she is attached to star. Robbie’s previous affiliation with the studio includes co-starring in this summer’s The Legend Of Tarzan and last year’s Focus.
Currently Robbie and LuckyChap are in post-production on their venture, theneo noir thriller Terminal in which she will co-star with Matthew Lewis and Simon Pegg. The shingle is also in the process of developing I, Tanya, a Tonya Harding biopic in which Robbie would play the disgraced figure skater. LuckyChap is also developing for Universal an adaptation of the Matt Ruff novel Bad Monkeys.
