We’ve all been to those holiday parties with our co-workers. The ones so dreadfully dull that you find yourself wishing for a Die Hard-style Nakatomi Plaza hostage situation just to liven things up a bit. Well, I don’t think that will be a problem with the upcoming comedy Office Christmas Party. Despite the bland title, the film does seem to have a pretty good lineup of emerging comedy talent with the likes of Kate McKinnon and TJ Miller joining up with stalwarts like Jennifer Aniston, Rob Corddry and Jason Bateman. This looks like it could be one of those anything-for-a-laugh comedies which either winds up firing on all cylinders or crashing and burning. And this might be the former and not the latter.
Here’s the official studio plot synopsis –
In OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY, when the CEO tries to close her hard-partying brother’s branch, he and his Chief Technical Officer must rally their co-workers and host an epic office Christmas party in an effort to impress a potential client and close a sale that will save their jobs.
Office Christmas Party hits theaters December 9, 2016.
