Marvel has been good about revealing film related props at San Diego Comic Con and this year is no different, as a costume from Thor: Ragnarok was revealed at the con.

If this “Gladiator Hulk” looks familiar, well, then you might have been a fan of the Planet Hulk storyline from the comics. Here is a statue based on the costumes Hulk wore in that story line. See any similarities?
Back in February of 2013, El Mayimbe broke news that a Planet Hulk storyline was in the works at Marvel. This was quickly denied. The rumor resurfaced in May of this year, and now has been pretty much confirmed. Before I roll out an apology to El Mayimbe, I am going to wait and see how much Planet Hulk we are getting. To start, the fact that Hulk went under a self-imposed exile in the films instead of a forced one already discredits part of El Mayimbe’s original rumor. And the elements are being introduced much later than he originally stated. But we are getting some Planet Hulk stuff. I just want to see if it stays contained to Thor: Ragnarok.
