SDCC 2016: WONDER WOMAN Poster Is A Winner

Wonder Woman poster smallIf there was a bright spot in the dark morass that was Batman v. Superman, it was Wonder Woman. Even the most stringent haters of that film loved Gal Gadot’s take on the character. And it looks like Warner Brothers is not going to let that good will go to waste.

Warner Brothers revealed the first poster for the forthcoming Wonder Woman film, and it’s a winner. While poster still has the orange/blue color scheme so many film posters have today, the bright colors work in contrast with the dark and dank color scheme of the BvS posters. And the “POWER, GRACE, WISDOM, WONDER” tagline is the definition of simple, yet effective. And the lighting on Gadot is marvelous as well.

It’s hard to ascribe a change of perspective on one teaser poster, but could Wonder Woman be a bright and optimistic change from the grim and gritty road map Warners intended its DC Comics film to have? I certainly hope so.

Here is the full poster for your enjoyment.
