New International GHOSTBUSTERS Trailer Brings More Funny

One of the few legitimate complaints* about the previously released trailers for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot has been that they have been light on outright jokes. Feig himself has even admitted that it his hard to make funny trailers for his films given that much of his humor comes through characterization, something a bit hard to fairly encapsulate in a two minute clip. And Feig has a point as the trailers for Spy, his comedy from last summer, certainly didn’t let on what a funny movie they were promoting. The new international trailer that was released today certainly has a higher quota of punchlines than all previous trailers, so that should be something for those looking for such a thing. Personally, I found the editing to be a little too quick. In the trailer’s zeal to showcase a number of jokes it just feels a bit rushed. Ghostbusters opens July 15.

*We’re going to just go ahead and ignore the vociferous, entitled man-babies whose arguments about the film can be boiled down to “Girls are icky.” Those guys are idiots.
