The sequel to last year’s sleeper action hit Kingsman: The Secret Service is gearing up for production, so details about the film are starting to solidify. We already know that Julianne Moore is joining the film in the role of the chief villain and that Halle Berry will be playing the head of the American counterpart of the spy agency that Taron Egerton’s Eggsy works for. Thanks to a new article from the British Empire magazine (via Collider) that hasn’t made it’s way to their online component, we know a few more things about the forthcoming followup.

First off, the film now has an official title – Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Of course, there is no word as to what this Golden Circle could be. However, we do know that the film will see Eggsy and Merlin (Mark Strong) heading to America to hook up with Berry and her agency, known as the Statesmen after their own headquarters is attacked. Ultimately, their adventures will lead them to Moore’s Poppy and her lair Poppyland.

Empire presented two pieces of production art featuring both the Statesmen HQ and Poppyland.

Additionally, returning director Matthew Vaughn had a few thoughts on creating a followup that exceeded the expectations set by the first film.

I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot.

You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is currently scheduled for release on June 10th, 2017.
