If you are waiting for the further shopping adventures of Brodie and Quint in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats sequel Mallrats 2: Mallbrats, then you are going to have to wait a bit longer.
The writer/director had initially been looking at starting production on the comedy around this time, but instead has pushed it back to later in the year. In it’s place he will be shooting the third film in his Canadian trilogy MooseJaws and made the announcement today via Facebook that he has started location scouting for that project, explaining that the financing for MooseJaws fell into place faster than the Mallbrats financing did. What impact this will have on the suburban Philadelphia locations that Smith had already secured for Mallrats 2 remains to be seen.
