Universal’s A Celebration of Harry Potter 2016 unfolded this past weekend at the Orlando Theme Park, during which was premiered a brand new, behind-the-scenes featurette for the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. It is the first in what is hoped will be a trilogy of Harry Potter prequel films, and features a screenplay written by Harry Potter’s literary creator J K Rowling.
The featurette shines the spotlight on the film’s four main hero characters – Adademy Award winner Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamaner, Katherine Waterston as Tina, Alison Sudol as Tina’s sister, Queenie and Tony Award winner Dan Fogler as Jacob. How they all figure into the story is at least partially explained in the clip below.
Here’s the official studio plot description –
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens November 18th.
