Comedy duo Key and Peele – Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key – have appeared separately in films before, but Keanu is their first film together as a headlining duo. Due out in April, the first trailer has been released. Warning – it is a red band trailer, but only for some language, so use headphones if necessary.
As you can see from the trailer, the story revolves around the pair making an ill-equipped trip into the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles after their cat disappears. And if that sounds a little familiar, the plot does resemble that of 2014’s action flick John Wick, which starred none other than Keanu Reeves. Kudos to Peter Atencio, who also directed the duo’s Comedy Central series, for capturing the look of the Reeves film here. This definitely portends to be some fun.
