Tina Fey Heads To Afghanistan In First WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT Trailer

Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot-Fey-2

Going up against a conflict in a galaxy far away this weekend is not the only war Tina Fey will be finding herself in. In March, she will be traveling to Afghanistan for the adaption of Chicago Tribune reporter Kim Barker’s memoir Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. With directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa at the helm, the film certainly looks to have a different tone to this weekend’s Sisters or most of the rest of Fey’s cinematic work, if the just released trailer below is any indication. As a reporter sent on assignment to the war in Afghanistan and reacting comically to the situation she finds herself in, I have to wonder if this film is going to land in territory similar to Robin Williams’ Good Morning Vietnam.

Fey is joined by Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Alfred Molina, and Christopher Abbott. It arrives in theaters on March 4, 2016.
