Want To See Tarantino’s THE HATEFUL EIGHT In 70mm? Hopefully You Live Near These Theaters

The-Hateful-Eight

Quentin Tarantino has always been a proponent of the theatrical, movie-going experience, whether it was in recreating the heyday of the exploitation double feature with Grindhouse or just his management of the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles which will only project its programming from actual film prints instead of digitally. And with his upcoming western The Hateful Eight, Tarantino is using select engagements of the film to replicate the old traveling “Roadshow” experience in which a film was projected from a 70mm print for a cleaner, crisper picture and each screening contained an overture and an intermission.

But not every theater showing The Hateful Eight will be the 70mm roadshow experience. So if that is the way you wish to see the film, you may have to do a little bit of a road trip. But it just might be worth it.
