MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Sweeps Boston Online Critics Pics

George Miller’s post-apocalypse action film Mad Max: Fury Road was the big winner with the Boston Online Film Critics Association, who gave the film six of their annual awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. It also took awards for Best Cinematography (John Seale), Best Editing (Margaret Sixel) and Best Original Score (Junkie XL).

Spotlight, which had a home turf advantage as the film follows a group of investigative reporters for the Boston Hearald, scored wins for Best Acting Ensemble and Best Screenplay (director Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer).

In the acting categories, Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor for Creed, while his co-star Sylvester Stallone took home the award for Best Supporting Actor. Saoirse Ronan was Best Actress for Brooklyn and Kristen Stewart was Best Supporting Actress for Clouds Of Sils Maria.

Son Of Saul nabbed Best Foreign Language Film while Amy won Best Documentary and Pixar’s Inside Out took Best Animated Film.
