While I can’t review it just yet, I can say that the upcoming film about the 2007 housing market collapse The Big Short manages to take a rather complex financial situation and not only make it understandable for the average person, but makes it entertaining as well. Credit there is due to director Adam McKay assembling a platoon of great actors including Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Melissa Leo, Hamish Linklater and Marisa Tomei to navigate us through this dark comedy which opens in limited December 11 before going wider throughout the month.
