Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, the fifth installment in the popular spy series, is set to hit theaters this July, but Paramount, Bad Robot and Skydance are already at work on a sixth film in the franchise, according to the Tracking Board. JJ Abrams, who has been involved with the franchise since he directed the third installment of the franchise, will again be producing alongside star Tom Cruise and David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. No writer has been announced.

No other details are known, but presumably, unless there’s a big surprise in July’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Tom Cruise will be back for another adventure as super secret agent Ethan Hunt. As the franchise has been growing its returning ensemble with each film, it could be likely that we will also see the likes of Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton and Rebecca Ferguson back as well.
