Welcome to Sherwood. It’s getting rather crowded here.
If the thought of two Invisible Man films being in developed sounds a bit crazy to you then hang onto your hat as news comes of Warner Brothers has started development on a retelling of the Robin Hood legend, raising the total number of films about the hero who robbed from the rich and gave to the poor to four.
Deadline broke the news of this fourth try, stating that Gangster Squad and Aquaman writer Will Beall is handling script duties on this attempt. The studio’s take on the project is under heavy wraps.
This attempt joins Lionsgate’s Robin Hood: Origins from writer Joby Harold, Disney’s family friendly Nottingham & Hood and Sony’s Hood from writers Cory Goodman and Jeremy Lott which has been described oddly and intriguingly as “Fast & Furious meets Mission: Impossible.”
