On Monday, we reported that the superstar writing/directing team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller was sought after by Warner Brothers to helm its big screen adaptation of The Flash. The rumor got a little more meat on Thursday as Deadline reported that the duo was tapped by the studio to write the treatment for the film.
Now, mind you, this is just a treatment. It’s not even a script. So it could be the first step to them directing the film, or it could be the only involvement from them for the film. Time will tell.
Lord and Miller are on a pretty good run at the box office, and everything the touch seems to turn to gold. However, their treatment would have to be very good to separate it from the CW’s The Flash, which is on its way to becoming the network’s highest rated show of all time and keeps getting better every week, quality wise.
