After years of development and anticipation, and several months of controversy as original director Edgar Wright walked off the project just before principal photography was set to begin, we finally get our first real good look at Marvel Stud’s Ant-Man, courtesy of the the just unveiled trailer. Two minutes long, it sketches out Paul Rudd’s character of Scott Lang and gives us a hint as to the hero’s journey he will be on in the film. Along with glimpses of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll, the trailer ends with a moment that comics fans will recognize as iconic for the character.
Ant-Man opens July 17.
