Needless to say, Sony Pictures’ cancellation of The Interview has sparked a lot of comment. Many actors and behind-the-cameras folks in Hollywood took to twitter to voice their own opinion. Ranging from thoughtful to sarcastic and even a few calls to action, it appears as if a majority of them disagree with what Sony has done.

Saw @Sethrogen at JFK. Both of us have never seen or heard of anything like this. Hollywood has done Neville Chamberlain proud today.

Wow. Everyone caved. The hackers won. An utter and complete victory for them. Wow.
— Rob Lowe (@RobLowe) December 17, 2014
Dear Sony Hackers: now that u run Hollywood, I'd also like less romantic comedies, fewer Michael Bay movies and no more Transformers.
— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) December 17, 2014
This only guarantees that this movie will be seen by more people on Earth than it would have before. Legally or illegally all will see it.
— Judd Apatow (@JuddApatow) December 17, 2014
. @JuddApatow I agree wholeheartedly. An un-American act of cowardice that validates terrorist actions and sets a terrifying precedent.

Sony's decision to pull THE INTERVIEW is unsettling in so many ways. Good thing they didn't publish THE SATANIC VERSES.

Really hard to believe this is the response to a threat to freedom of expression here in America. #TheInterview
— Ben Stiller (@RedHourBen) December 18, 2014
All joking aside, we just gave a comfy foothold to censorship & it doesn't get any better from this point on. #TheInterview
— Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) December 18, 2014
Does this mean that M*A*S*H re-runs are canceled? #TheInterview
— Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) December 17, 2014
THE INTERVIEW is now poised to shatter the world record for "spite viewings."
— Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) December 17, 2014
We do not negotiate with terrorists. We just do exactly what they say.
— Damon Wayans Yunior? (@wayansjr) December 18, 2014
So SONY fight back by canceling The Interview, thus proving to the hackers that hacking & threats work very well? That may prove an error.
— Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) December 17, 2014
Canceling "The Interview" seems like a pretty horrible precedent to set.

It's sad that the Twizzlers sold in movie theater chains have a stronger spine than the owners of movie theater chains.
— Frank Conniff (@FrankConniff) December 18, 2014
In the bleak future we've ushered in, people who got to see The Interview will gather around fires to describe it, like in Fahrenheit 451.

Do the terrorists win in the end of #TheInterviewMovie ? I guess so..
— Bryan Greenberg (@bryangreenberg) December 17, 2014
WGAers, let's all vote for THE INTERVIEW instead of BIRDMAN.
