Legendary Pictures and director Gareth Edwards have found their writer for their follow up to this summer’s hit Godzilla. Taking over the writing chores will be Max Borenstein, who has already turned in the script for Legendary’s Skull Island, so I guess he has impressed them with his ability to write story around giant monster action. And it’s a good thing too, as Edwards promised at San Diego Comic Con this year that the sequel would feature some other of Godzilla’s classic Toho Studios co-stars, specifically Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah.
Godzilla 2 is set for a June 8, 2018 release.
