If you’re anxious to see more big screen Godzilla action, you have a bit of a wait. Sony has just announced that the sequel to this summer’s monster (pun only partially intended) hit will be stomping into theaters on June 8, 2018.
While I am sure that the studio is probably wishing that they could be getting the film into theaters a bit faster, director Gareth Edwards already has another big profile project on his plate he needs to finish first – the first Star Wars spinoff film which Disney has scheduled for December 16, 2016.
Last month at San Diego Comic Con, Edawrds announced that Godzilla’s owners, Toho Studios, were granting them a few omre of the original Japanese franchise’s monsters to use in the sequel, specifically Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah.
Are you doubting the Big G’s directing ability?
