In the past, Marvel Studios has had fun at San Diego Comic Con by wheeling out props from their upcoming movies for a limited time display before hiding them away again. And this year is apparently no different. Earlier today, the studio had the following prop on display, which they also tweeted out a picture of for those unable to attend.

So, yes, that’s Loki’s staff, the one he wielded in 2012’s The Avengers and which we last saw in the lab of HYDRA bigwig Baron Von Strucker’s lab in one of the two button scenes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year.

So what does this mean? I would hazard a guess it means that the staff will be seen in next summer’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron and we might find out a bit more about its appearance in tomorrow’s Marvel Studios panel. Stay tuned…
