Most fans of the Star Wars films have already appeared in films based on the franchise. Most written and created in their minds and acted out with their friends in their backyards. Others in fan films and parodies.
Well, now you have the chance to actually have a role in a real life Star Wars film, if you are lucky enough.
As part of the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change initiative, a program that works with UNICEF to improve the lives of children around the world, J.J. Abrams and company are running a contest, offering two people a flight to London, complete with hotel room, where you will be able to visit the Star Wars: Episode VII set at Pinewood Studios, meet the cast, and be made up for a non-speaking role in the film. Of course, there is no guarantee that your scene will make it into the final film, but they will try their hardest to keep it in.
While you do not have to donate to enter, they are hoping you’ll give a little bit to the cause. As such, they are offering swag for each donation. The swag improves with the amount you donate, ranging from a personal thank you from J.J. Abrams ($40 donation) to an advance screening of the film in a town near you ($50,000 donation).
The contest will run for the next 58 days. Here’s J.J. Abrams to tell you all about it:
