Matt Smith Joins New TERMINATOR Trilogy

MattSmith

Matt Smith, still relatively fresh off his successful run in the title role of the popular British science-fiction series Doctor Who, is making the move to another classic time-travel franchise, the Terminator film series. Deadline is reporting that the actor is the latest addition to the cast of Paramount’s upcoming Terminator film, the first of a planned new trilogy. It will be Smith’s first major Hollywood film role since leaving the iconic British series. Deadline is reporting that Smith’s unnamed character will have major role in the first film and that it will “grow in the second and third films.”

Smith will be joining Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Day Okeniyi and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The film is set for release in the crowded summer of 2015 on July 1.
