Amanda Seyfried is joining the cast of director Joe Wright’s Peter Pan prequel, Pan. Seyfried will be playing Mary, though there is no word in Deadline‘s announcement of the casting as to what part Mary will play in the film’s story of an orphan (Levi Miller) who is taken away to the magical island of Neverland where he finds himself defending it from a band of pirates lead by Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman) and Hook (Garrett Hedlund).
Given that production starts April 28, it is nice to see that Wright has finalized the cast.
Pan is set for release on July 17, 2015.
