If you were like me, the Peanuts gang were a fundamental part of your life. You grew up reading the comic strips in your local paper, own books of collecting the strips that you read over and over again, and looked forward to every holiday for the annual TV show featuring that lovable cast of characters.
And if you are like me, you tend to view Hollywood’s insistence on revisiting these characters from you youth with a mix of cynicism and disdain because you know it won’t be the same as your memories, and the changes will only make things worse.
However, strangely enough, I’m not getting that feeling here. Granted, it is only two pictures and a short teaser trailer, but you can see that the makers of the 3-D animated version of Charles Shulz’s famous creations took a painstaking amount of time to capture the look and feel of Shulz’s two-dimensional art in their final product, and seem to have captured the tone of the humor as well.
Take a look for yourself. One image is above, one below and at the bottom, the teaser.
Peanuts is set to arrive in theaters on November 6, 2015.

I miss the 2D. Guess I’m a Peanuts purist.
This makes me happy. :)
