We’re still a few weeks away from the April 4th opening of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but tickets will be going on sale in just a few days via Fandango. To alert you to this, Marvel Studios has just released a 2:45 clip of an action sequence from early in the film to whet your appetite. In this, die hard Captain America fans may recognize a name or two that gets dropped in just this short clip. After the segment, is a short, trailer-ish montage from the film.
From my understanding, this segment is right near the beginning of the film, if not the exact beginning. From what we know of the film’s main plot, I am not sure it is really connected to the overall storyline. The scene seems to serve more as a way to introduce Cap and where he is now to audiences. We’ve been reading that Avengers: Age Of Ultron is supposed to open with an action sequence that might not be entirely germane to the film’s plot. IN a way, this reminds me of how the James Bond pictures open with a slam-bang action sequence that grabs the audience’s attention right from the start. Maybe Marvel is taking a page from the Bond franchise? Maybe, though ultimately, I am not sure that the studio would place all of their films into the straightjacket of such a formula.
Can’t wait to see this!
