So, people were wondering that since Fox stole Marvel’s thunder by putting Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past before Marvel could use him in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, would they do the same for his twin sister, Wanda aka the Scarlet Witch? According to French site Les Toiles Heroiques, they might have done just that.
If you click on that link, you’ll see a whole bunch of new still from and behind the scenes looks from the new movie. But one pic stands out in particular:
That, of course, is Evan Peters, who is playing Quicksilver in the Bryan Singer directed film. That little girl? Cinema Blend seems to think that the French site is saying that that is Quicksilver’s sister Wanda. So that is how the Scarlet Witch will look in this film.
It appears that, unless there is a plot point where one matures slower/faster than the other, the pair in this film are no longer twins. Fox should be thankful then that Marvel is going to present the pair in a way that more matches up with the comics, because that will only mitigate the fan outrage that would have hit if this was the only version of Wanda on film.
Of course, this might not be Wanda. It could be that Quicksilver runs an afterschool babysitting service for the parents in his neighborhood. We’ll see in May when Day of Future Past opens.
