ANCHORMAN 2 Getting Three Versions On Home Video

anchorman-2

If the notion of two different cuts of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues – the initial theatrical cut and the Super-Sized R Rated Version hitting theaters this Friday for a one week run – was not enough for you, you may be thrilled to learn that the upcoming blu-ray release will feature an additional edit of the film for a total of three.

The third version of the film will be an unrated cut of the theatrical version as well as a reported four hours of extra material. Given that director Adam McKay loves to shoot lots of improvisation on the set, it comes as no surprise that there is plenty of material forthcoming. With the first Anchorman, McKay released numerous unused and differently performed scenes, including editing many into an alternate storyline called Anchorman: Wake Up Ron Burgundy.
