John Travolta has played a number of characters in his career, but there’s still one that he wants to tackle – a Bond villain.
Speaking with the Telegraph, Travolta stated that although he has played a number of bad guys he won’t “close the chapter on playing villains” until he gets to face off against secret agent 007 in a film.
I would love that. They’re going a different way with their villain in this next film but I’ve spoken to Barbara Broccoli about it and she loves the idea, so that would be great.
I don’t think that Travolta is necessarily a bad actor, but he is much more a movie star than a movie actor. I am at a loss to think of a film performance where he has entirely and convincingly disappeared into a character, though he does come close in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. There’s always a bit of the Travolta persona peeking out. And I don’t think that’s the experience I want in my Bond film, nor do I think that that’s what the producers of the franchise want, unless they are planning on a major tonal switch from the far grittier one they established when they rebooted the series by bringing in Daniel Craig to star as the suave British secret agent.
one more bad facelift and he can be the villan named STREATCH
Or Fat Bastard.

I could see that.
I thought his Swordfish character was a perfectly capable villain. And who can forget his turn as Goldmember at the end of Austin Powers 3?
Plus his role in Face/Off…and maybe Broken Arrow if we’re being generous.
