Director Timo Vuorensola has picked his screenwriter for his planned sequel to his satirical Nazis-on-the-moon cult hit Iron Sky, The Coming Race. He’ll be working with Dalan Musson who scripted Vuorensola’s comic book adaptation Jeremiah Harm which is coming from Warner Brothers.
The announcement was made at the Berlin Film Festival yesterday. At a budget set around $13 million, Iron Sky: The Coming Race is reportedly one of the most ambitious films being developed in Vuorensola’s home country of Finland, with a portion of the film’s preproduction being funded through a crowdfunding campaign. The original had a reported budget of around $10 million.
Below is a piece of art that accompanied the Variety report which supports earlier statements from Vuorensola that the film will center on a group of Nazis who have been hiding out in the hollow center of the Earth.
